What a floor strip-out actually produces
Tower fit-out work is near constant along the interchange, and each floor sends down a familiar mix: grid and tile framework, tray and trunking, copper from the wet services, studwork from partitions, and whatever cabinet and racking the last tenant left in the comms room. It is good material, and it is worth separating, but none of it has anywhere to sit while that happens.
That is the core problem to solve on this side of town. A contractor working to a programme cannot store metal, and a building will not let a skip stand in a shared bay, so removal has to keep pace with the strip-out rather than waiting for the end of the job.

Refurbishment in the hospital buildings north of I-285 releases heavier and more valuable material than a standard office refit: air handling units, chillers, pumps, stainless fittings, equipment frames and pipework runs. Some of it comes out in one piece and some of it is cut down where it stands.
These sites run to strict route rules, because the corridor a load travels down may also be a clinical route. Agreeing that path, and the hours it can be used, matters more here than the size of the vehicle waiting outside.
Keeping value in a load with nowhere to sort it
Clean copper is worth considerably more than copper mixed into a general steel load, and the difference is decided on site rather than at our end. Where a job allows even rough separation, drums or bags for copper and brass alongside a general steel pile, the return on the same volume improves.
Where separation is genuinely impossible because the floor is live and there is no staging area, say so. We would rather plan a collection around a mixed load than have somebody promise sorting that the site cannot deliver.
